Your Jimmer isn't even real!

Oh my goodness we have had such a fun weekend! Well it started on Wednesday, Ry and I were able to go to the Jazz game with Tom, Karie and Kacee. They played the Minnesota Timber wolves, and it was a pretty dang good game! Very high scoring! They hit like 71 in the first half. It was fun to see family and we always like to get out and do something besides work and school. On Thursday Kacee and Karie came into my work and I gave them both a Microdermabrasion. It was fun, and I think they liked the facial... lol After we found Tom we went to Cafe Rio there in Draper. mmmm I never get sick of Cafe Rio, It is my very very best! I think Ry felt bad that he didn't get invited, but that's what you get when you are responsible and don't sluff school!

 Tom Just had surgery on his thumb the day before. :( Karie is so nice to cut his food for him. lol 

I had all day Friday off from work and that was so nice! I was able to get a few things done, which always results in lots of money spent. :) I had to get one of my window wipers fixed....ugh. Sometimes I feel like my car is just a hole I'm throwing money into. But I am very grateful that it is payed off, and that nothing major has gone wrong with it. As long as that little Alero drives I will keep it, because I love not having a car payment! At around 6 I met Kate in Provo! Her and Shadd drove up so that Kate could come with me to a little shower for our friend Stevie. She is having a baby at the end of this month and she is giving him up for adoption. She already has chosen the family, and so they threw a little shower up in Heber City for Tara (who is adopting Jackson)  it was also for Stevie just to help her out and get her back on her feet. It was kind of a bitter sweet feeling. I have so much respect for Stevie and I'm not sure I would be able handle all of that. Adoption is such an amazing thing. Tara had 2 children of her own, and they both passed away with in a few weeks because of a heart defect, so they resorted to adoption. They already have a little boy who I think is like 2, and now they get to have Jackson in just a few weeks. Tara seems like she is such a nice person and what a blessing for her. I know that Stevie is doing what she feels is best for Jackson and herself. She is one of my favorite people, and I love her so much. Kate too! :) I love Kate! I have such beautiful friends.

It was so good to see Stevie. I hadn't seen her since like right after I got home from Hawaii. So it had been about a year and a half. It was also way good to see Kate. As always :)

 

Saturday, Ry and I got up and went to the gym and then pretty much lounged around watching March maddness and Ry had lots of homework too. BYU played SOOO good! It was such a fun fun game to watch. They played Gonzaga and beat them 89-67. 

 

 

My favorite sign of the game was "Stockton is really here to see Jimmer" haha Speaking of Jimmer.... :) I love him. I think he is so sexy. haha I think all the hype about him is so silly though. I bet he gets proposed to everyday at BYU. Ry and I found this video last night that the BYU library made, and we were cracking up, because I think that really might happen. ha jk

Fact: I hate buying food.
I think it is such a waste of time and money, because it just goes right through us! Then we have to buy more! I honestly wish I could just only WANT to eat what is healthy for my body and what my body needs, think of how much money we would save! I keep telling Ryan I would totally give up my taste buds, so that I could do just that. lol Obviously I wouldn't really...... But I do think that would solve my problem with this hot cocoa addiction I have had lately. I know god gave us our taste buds for a reason, but I just wish that my mom would have never fed me sugar so I wouldn't know what I was missing! :) (thanks mom, it's all your fault. jk) Anyway, Ry and I spent $81 at Winco last night, which probably would have been over $100 anywhere else. But still 80 bucks is a lot! We tried really hard this week to make up a meal plan for the next 2 weeks, so we didn't end up with a bunch of random crap that didn't go together like we usually do. lol  So hopefully we can stick to it and just be happy healthy people the next 2 weeks, for dinner at least. :)

Lately we have been so busy, but we have done some fun things! 2 weeks ago on Wednesday Ry and I both got off work a little early, We went to visit Carma our land lord for a little bit. Then we drove down to campus for the BYU vs New Mexico game in Provo. We were so excited,  Ry got the tickets like a month ago, and we wore our matching BYU cougar shirts.  haha I was so disappointed  that Davies got kicked off a few days before.....what a punk. Who cares what he does in his "personal" time. But freak, if you're going to do it with your girlfriend just wait until after basketball season. Am I right? I'm sure it killed the BYUers who axed him, but they would have done it with anyone. I'm sure the rest of the world has a hard time understanding our values, and the reasons for them. BUT! BYU is a private school, Davies knew 100% what was expected of him to play on their team, and he screwed it up. If he couldn't handle he should have picked a different school. Kind of sad, but it's his own dang fault. The best part of the game was the Half time show. Hahahahha I STILL giggle when I think of how funny these ladys were. I think they said their age range was from 56-94.  They said how many children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren they all had put together, lol and it was lots. I can't remember, But I know the grandchildren were in the thousands.
After the game Ry had some homework to finish so we spent the rest of the night in the library, (I know such a romantic evening) :) But it was so he didn't have to go back down to campus the next day.

On Saturday My cousin Justine had her baby shower. She is such a cute pregnant girl. I didn't get any pictures... but it was so good to see her, and I found out that she is moving to Draper. So I am going to be best friends with  that little London Lynn on my lunch brakes. :) I'm already got a pattern to make her and Grant church clothes. :) Ahhh I love Grant We were able to Skype with Thomas, Mandy and Grant on Sunday :)

I think Grant was Hungry? I don't know, but he was kind of mad. lol

Ihatewinteritis

Today, I worked a half day because I had an appointment to go do my taxes at 4. Now I have nothing else to do until Ryan gets home. So I'm a little bored.... and I have major IHATEwinteritis! ( yes, it's a real word and its a problem!) Why does winter have to last 9 months out of the year!? What is the point? It really makes me miss Hawaii. I miss being warm. :) ahhhhhh  

And I miss my old Job ;(

And I miss The Uluaves :(

BUT! I love my husband :)   He is my favorite :) Having him around makes everything better, and seeing him is the highlight of my day.

So I guess it's ok I live here....as long as Ryan is here.

B is for Blanding

Oh I love going home. There really is nowhere like Blanding! I know it's just because we grew up there and we know everyone, but it really is such a beautiful, wonderful place. I also love that Ryan is from Blanding too, because there never is a fight where we go on a weekend off, or Holiday. It's just always Blanding, and we are always able to see both the Flavels and Palmers. Our families are so nice and patient, and never complain if we spend more time with one or the other. It definitely makes things easier. 

We got to Ryan's parents late on Friday night. It was nice to be able to sleep in a little on Saturday. Ryan and his dad went to look at deer in the morning, and I went over to my parents. Mandy and Thomas came over to let us play with that cute new baby of theirs. :) I love Grant so much already. What a stinkin' cute new born!

We went over to Tiff and Dev's to play with the boys. :) They are bigger every time we see them. Ryan has so much fun with them, and I'm pretty sure he is their favorite uncle. :) jk But it is nice to have someone else for Ryan to bug besides me. haha  ahhh We love you Cash and Gaige!

These boys are so helpful, picking Ryan's nose for him. Cash also gave us a show haha that kid has some sweet moves! This is probably the best part of the weekend.

I just had to add this pic because it was so random. This is our Tabby cat. :) When she was a baby she would come in my room and snuggle with me. I could handle her purring for about a half hour then I'd have to take her outside. When we pulled up to the house her head popped out of the garbage can. lol What a weird cat.....

The rest of the weekend was filled with lots of yummy food,looking for deer, and good visits with family. It was also Kacie's birthday on Sunday, so we had a little party for her. She is 13 now! It was so good to get to see everyone.

We go home late on Monday night, ready for another busy week! It's nice to be back in AF and into our normal routine, though. I started my new Ballet class in Lehi on Tuesday :) Carla came too and I'm kinda sore! I have been out of the dancing scene for almost 5 years, so I'm a bit rusty to say the least. haha But I'm sure it will come back to me soon.                                       Anyway, by the raise of hand, who is ready for this winter to be over?!? ME! I'm so over the cold, and it is supposed to snow tomorrow again......hmmm I think it's time to plan a Hawaii trip.

Balentines Day :)

This year for Valentines day we ate out on Saturday together. (Mondays are always crazy for us, and who even really likes to fight the crowds on V-day? NOT US!) So we went to this little BBQ place here in AF. It was way good! For sure a place we will go to again! My Sunday was filled with lots of baking. :) I made some cookies for Ry because he loves them, also for the girls at work and clients. Also I made bugle goo :) mmmm colored it red for the occasion. :) I was finally able to bust out my decorating gear. I think I need to find a different kind of frosting though to make it work...... But I love cream cheese frosting so so much that I didn't really care if they looked silly.(don't judge, they had to be round because I could not find heart shaped cookie cutters ANYWHERE!!)

Ry and I recently discovered pizzas at Winco. :) Lets be honest here, Winco is the shiz anyway....but this just adds to it's awesomeness. We just found them at the deli a few weeks ago, they are big! They're only 5 bucks too! They taste amazing! It's been a good thing for us on those days we get home from work late, and don't have the patience to "cook". :) Monday was for sure one of those days! After Ry had 7 hrs at school and 4 hours at work, and I had 10 hrs at work. It was nice to just come home and cuddle, eat pizza and watch Office. :) Even though we watch it ALMOST every night, we still are not sick of it.

Ryan, was so nice and sweet  I got a text after he left bright and early that day that said "Love you, Happy Balentines." :) haha He also got me this pretty necklace. :) just my style.

So over all, it was a great Holiday. Gives us a reason to declare our love and also to give people good deals at work. hahaha ohhh man....I'm becoming quite the little sales person at American Laser. Well at least I try...it's kind of just being pounded into my life. I am becoming so much more aware of how other business market, and I think it's so interesting, and silly that we all fall for it. haha

Well, I was able to do my first E-matrix treatment on a client yesterday.( our new machine) SCARY! I was nervous, but tried to act professional. I did a good job though i think. I had some extra pulses left on the tip (if you don't use them and you turn the machine off, the head expires and becomes non-usable.) So I decided to do my neck and my cheeks. :) I had a treatment the other day just on my jaw line, and I didn't react to it at all! Most people get little squares on their skin for a few days, and I didn't get anything!  Morgan treated me at the highest setting too! I'm also on antibiotics....so I really shouldn't have had the treatment while on them. But......my skin is usually pretty resistive to things. So anyway I turned the machine up a bit and did my neck and cheeks. :) I got these little babies :)

I love when I can actually get my skin to react to something! The Ematrix is a Sublative rejuvenation. It uses fractionated bi-polar radio frequency that penetrates into the skin without completely burning off the top layers of skin. Unlike most laser treatments, there is not a lot of down time with the ematrix. So pretty much it stimulates collagen production from the inside, and your skin is forced to develop new skin cells. So this helps with Acne scars (I have a ton!), wrinkles, stretch marks and it just helps the over all texture of your skin. :) I'm also able to use this on all skin types, which is not so for most other laser rejuvenation treatments.So all you darky skins come see me!  ahhhh What a beautiful thing medical technology has brought to my life. I love this machine with all my heart already. Other than the fact that I have red squares all over my face, and I still smell like burned skin,  It's been less than 24 hrs and I already can see a difference on my scars. Maybe after another treatment I'll post before and after photos. Anyway Even though I complain daily about my job to Ryan, I REALLY do like doing the treatments! Even the hair removal......haha It's sweet that I'm able to do everything on myself for free too. Yes I have not shaved my arm pits for 2 weeks now, and I have like maybe 6 hairs growing in both all together. :) Anyway Chris just came over to give me my pounds of Hot coco from uncle Todd! Shout out to the Oswalds! Love you guys! ALL 3 flavors taste amazing!

Mr. Grant Thomas.

Oh my goodness I can't tell you how excited I have been this last week, because my sister had her baby! She called me on Tuesday to tell me she had gone into the clinic to get checked because she had been so sick all night. They ended up admitting her, and broke her water. I wasn't working that day, so I called my manager to get the next day off also, and I headed down to Monticello! I got there around 5pm. Mandy and Thomas were just waiting patiently in their room! Mandy's nurse was Debbie Slade, and she was awesome. She was so nice, and comforting and really seemed like she know what she was doing. :) Thomas and I watch about 5 hours worth of Office episodes haha and then Mandy's contractions started to get closer together. They had lots of visitors from both sides of the family's and it was fun to see everyone! Mandy was so pleasant, until she was dilated to about 7. Then from there to about an 8 she was in lots of pain so she decided to get the epidural shot. Then it was smooth sailing from there! She was so happy and funny the whole time! I loved it! She let me stay in to watch and it was such an amazing experience. I can't believe how incredible birth really is! I have always felt so weird about pregnant women. lol I just think its such a crazy thing that we grow other humans in our bellies! The whole process is just so insane to me. But I really was grateful that Mandy was ok with me being in there with her. It took about 20 min of her pushing and he was here! It was so much less dramatic than I was expecting! lol But that little bugger almost gave us all a heart attack (including the Dr and the nurse). When he first came out the cord was wrapped around his neck 2 times. So he was was very blue, and lifeless. Dr. Black let Thomas cut the cord which was pretty cool and then they wisked Grant over the the little heater bed thing and immediately stared oxygen and getting stuff out of his throat and nose. It took about 10 min to finally get him to breath. It was so scary, and I caught it all on tape! He never lost his pulse so that was good, and Dr. Black was so calm and collected the whole time. I was very impressed, because Thomas and I were both quietly freaking out. lol Mandy I think was a little bit out of it, so she didn't really know what was going on. But They finally got him to breathe, and he was so cute! just looking all around, and he never made a sound! Mandy was over to the side of him and once he heard her voice he looked over and wouldn't take his eyes off her. :) Even when the Dr. was still moving him around and stuff. It was so dang cute. They finally got him all cleaned up and had an x-ray on his lungs to make sure everything was ok. Then they brought him back for us to play with him! Can I just say this kid has the most hair I have EVER seen on a new born. :) I still cant stop looking at his pics, It kills me! He looks like a little surfer dude with all that blonde hair. He is such a good baby, and I still don't think he has cried yet. lol Mandy is doing fine, and feeling good. It was so cold that night I didn't even want to go out to my car to go sleep at Mandy's house. haha so I just slept with them at the hospital . In the morning My family came over and Thomas Mom and Dad came too. I was able to go down to Blanding to take a nap, and shower, I ran over to Ry's house to say hi to Karie and Kacie. Then I had to hit the road back up the American Fork! It was a very quick trip, but very eventful. :) I love this little guy already so much. I wish I lived closer, because I feel like he is going to look different every time we get down to Blanding. :( But here are some pics I was able to take while I was there. I still can't believe the hair on this kid.
